help with RC1

heres my problem after spending hours trying to install. the download and
the burn went fine. i am a tech subscriber;but when i put my dvd+r in my dvd
drive i get nothing. the most i have ever gotten is the vista blue screen.
am i missing a step? or is this a bad load?

i have everything i need for vista. i have 2g ram; 250 hd; nvidia 6600
geforce card; amd athlon64x2; and have all the beta products and i am up to
date with all security from microsoft.
am i missing a step?

I'm sure it's not your pc
Unplugging your usb devices and trying again might help,
if that doesn't work your install DVD may be corrupt this can happen if it
hasn't been burnt at a low speed
the first one I burnt, I did at 8x and the disk was currupt I burnt it again
at 2x and it was fine

If you insert the DVD and it has problems booting you should check your bios
settings and make sure DMA is enabled for your DVD drive

Check your download, run the checksum before you burn the dvd (for example
run md5 and compare the checksum). If that still dowsn't work try installing
with all your add-in cards and accessories unplugged from the computer, then
add one at a time.
