Nero 6.0 does work with a Few Minor Compatibility Problems, however, Nero
7.0 Does Not Work at all.

Easy Media Creator 8 works fine. (I'm assuming the new Media Creator 9
would also work.) In beta 2, I used Nero 5.5 which was bundled with my
burner, and it worked fine.

There were several posts in here in one thread lambasting Easy Media Creator
9, and apparently there are a bunch of unhappy folks posting to the Roxio
forums that it doesn't work on Vista.

I do know most of the apps in Easy Media Creator 7.5 works except Sonic's
BackupMyPC and CinePlayer.

You'd think Easy Media Creator 9 would work with Vista RC1 wouldn't you,
especially since they list Vista as one of the supported operating systems
in their literature.

Well, wrong. Something in RC1 broke EMC 9 (they had tested against an
earlier version of Vista) and, thus far, Roxio's response amounts to "too
bad --- what we meant was that we will support Vista when it is released --
we do not support pre-released versions of operating systems."

BTW, IE7 is also not supported by EMC 9 even under Windows XP.

In short, save your money.

Before somebody flames me and says "It works fine under Vista" -- go to
Roxio's support forum for the product. I have paraphrased them quite
accurately. And, although EMC 9 installed for me without complaint on a
system running Vista RC1 Build 5600 (x64), it was completely inoperable.
