I got a new 160gb maxtor hd and I'm trying to clone my 20gb hd (2 partitions
c-win95 d-winxp pro).

When I try to clone it, I get this error.

Can't find the drive with specified disk identification. You may need to
load additional drivers to access this drive.

I've also tried using the dos mode but it only detects my 20gb so since
there is only one drive detected, I can't do anything.

I'm gettin pretty frustrated, any help really appreciated. ps, I've tried
googling but haven't found any answers

So the reason you're posting here and not contacting the developer is...?

Unless you know something that we - and the rest of the planet - doesn't
(i.e. Microsoft's take over of Symantec) why are you posting here? Why
aren't you doing what you should be doing (i.e. contacting Symantec)? You
may be running a Microsoft OS, but that doesn't mean this is the correct
place to be posting; you need to contact the developer for all 3rd-party
applications.

Why are you such a cocksucker?
Why do you feel the need to be such a tough guy anyways?

This is a general XP newsgroup and people ask all kinds of things here.
Considering the hundreds of people that post here each day, it would not be
shocking to think someone might know a solution or has experienced the same
problem.

I'd appreciate any pointers from anyone more intelligent than miss tick, oh
wait, that'd be anyone else here!

That is why there is an over abundance of posts to these
groups. Plain stupid questions at best. Microsoft supports
their operating systems and applications, period. Not
Dell, Compaq, Symantec or who ever. You are the ill
advised, that think that the world owes you.
