Again from PC Magazine February editon:
There was an article about preventing your MFT from becoming
fragmented over time since it is a unmoveable file. They direct you
to open registry editor and navagate to
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Filesystem.
Double click on the NtfsMftZoneReservation value on the right side and
enter a number between 2 and 4 etc." Navagated to location but only
entry that has anything about Ntfs is "NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation"
and this has a zero value. There is a Default value above this that
is blank now.

Is this beyond Home version or am I doing something wrong?

Have Home SP2 running

email response not expected but to respond remove .uk at end
TIA

Haven't seen your article. Look at this one. It says to *Create* a new
DWORD value called "NtfsMftZoneReservation". That's why you do not see >>

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem
NtfsMftZoneReservation
