help with Media Player

hi,
I currently have windows XP on a Compaq Presario Computer. I played DVD
without a hitch until yesterday when the media player notified me that
there
was no decoder installed.
How do I go about fixing this problem.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Some video cards like ati offer a free decoder for dvd playback that works
alongside WMP,otherwise download one,power dvd,etc..Or
try:http://www.downloads.com They probably offer a limited time free-be
