Can someone answer my problem

D

Denise

I don't know if this is the correct newsgroup to raise my problem. I have
windows XP professional, but my query relates to my media player.
I have had my comp for 2 years now and have had no problem whatsoever
playing DVDs until today, when i was informed that i do not have a
decoder.
Why would this function cease to operate and how can i get it back.
I'm not too bothered about the watching of DVDs, but other operations such
as my Tom-tom require me to have this facility.
Any response greatly appreciated.
If you cannot help then advice as to what avenue I should be seeking would
be fantastic.

Thank you in advance

Denise

You need to reinstall your DVD decoding software..... usually it's PowerDVD
or WinDVD, whichever came with your PC. Look at the CD(s) that came with
the PC.

If you can't find them, you'll have to purchase a copy....
www.gocyberlink.com or www.intervideo.com

Or call your PC manufacturer. DVD decoding software is not and never has
been a part of Windows.
