I had no problem putting in a DVD and playing it in my computer untill
yesterday.
When I try to start a DVD now in my computer I get this (Windows Media
Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not
installed on your computer)
Can anyone tell me what download that I can get from Microsofts free
doanloads to fix this.
I have Windows XP Home Addition.
Thanks
John

If this occurred from one day to the next...
something must have been installed/uninstalled
or updated that damaged your DVD Decoder
files.
I'm thinking it may be worth a try to do a System
Restore to time before this occurred.

MS Does not offer a free DVD Decoder...
but you could purchase a DVD Decoder...
Info on DVD Decoders:

Or...you could try the free VLC Media Player...

Or...you could try installing the following codec pack...

Good luck.
