Help with loop back XP Home SP1

Have Windows Home Edition

Installed SP1, got the reboot screen, after
I re-booted the pc. It starts, gets the initial ms screen,
then re-boots again. It stays in a loop. The same happens
in Safe Mode.

Any suggestions?

Reboot tapping F8.
Select "Last known good configuration" instead of Safe Mode.
Otherwise perform a Repair Installation:
