Help with jumpers

I bought a Maxtor 40G harddrive (DiamaondMax Plus 8) . I am planning to
install it to my Dell computer as D-drive (Slave). When I looked at the
Maxtor manual, it does not seem to require placing any jumper. But if
required, a CLJ (Cylinder Limitation Jumper) can be placed. I am
wondering what CLJ vs. the Jumper is. Please enlighten me. Satoshi

FYI Dell computers use the Cable Select setting to configure hard drives as
opposed to the Master/Slave configuration.

Your jumper settings can be seen here;
