HELP !!! WITH JOYSTICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM A TOTAL NOVICE I RUN MY LAPTOP ON WINDOWS XP, AND
HAVE A TRUST PREDATOR TH 400 JOYSTICK WHICH MY COMPUTER
REFUSES TO RECOGNISE THE MESSAGE I GET IS TO CONSULT MY
DEVICE MANAGER THIS DOES NOT MEAN A LOT TO ME. CAN
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.
