Help with IE6

On my older computer I have been having trouble accessing
IE 6. I states that an error has ocurred and asks me if
I want to send an error report (which I dont) but it
NEVER opens IE6. I can connect to the internet thought
because Outlook and AIM work. I think its a virus but I
cant update Norton's definitions (they are out of date,
but it says they are updated already) I have run Ad Aware
and Virus scanner and both found nothing. Does anyone
have any ideas?

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
