My problem started out not being able to access help files for most of my
programs, I would get the page cannot be displayed, DNS server error. On my
Gateway computer I had a program called Helpspot, an interface that was over
the help and support feature on my start menu. I always thought this was a
Gateway program so I was very confused with these error pages. I contacted
Gateway, they are of little help and they don't answer any of the additional
questions you may pose, wearing blinders they are! I tried their sugg. repair
of helpspot thru add and remove, no joy, application CD"s they stated 1st of
2, I only have one this didn't work, kept asking for CD #1, the only one I
had was already in. I got someone here to help me reinstall help and support
feature but then no Helpspot, so no more diagnostics or system info from
Gateway. So now they say repair installation of Windows XP. I tried a search
here at Microsoft for repair installation of WinXP sp2 but no info came up
can someone point me in the right direction. I have no idea how to do this?
