Help with Creating a Switchboard in 2007!

I've created a fom that I'd like to use as a swithboard. However, I don't
know how to create a switchboard with Access 2007. Attempted to by selecting
"Switchboard Manager". I get a "Switchboard Manager was unable to find a
valid switchboard in this database. Would you like to create one?"

When I select "Yes", I get "File name or class name not found during
Automation operation". I don't know what this means and what I need to do to
make this work.

I've read the help articles and have tried other means to no avail.

If anyone could please help me, I'd greatly appreciate it!!

thanks,

I haven't used Access 2007, but if the switchboard manager is anything
like in previous versions, it would be well worth you while to not use
it at all, but rather create your own switchboard, using command
buttons. You'll have more control over it's appearance, functionality
and maintenance. If you use the Command Button wizard when adding the
command buttons, Access will write most of the code for you.

Thanks for your reply.

I used the command wizard to assist in building the form that I'd like to
use as a the switchboard. The bottom line is that I'd like to set this
"switchboard" form to open when the database is open...don't really care if
it's done through the switchboard manager or not.

I just don't know how to make this form open when the database opens.

I look forward to additional feedback.

Many thanks,

Found the answer to my own question...thought I'd at least share it in case
someone needs the answer:

1. Go to the MS Office button on the top left.
2. "Access Options"
3. Select "Current Database"
4. choose your form in the droplist found next to "Display Form:"

It's just that simple!

Another option is to create a macro named Autoexec and have it open your
form. The macro will execute on startup unless you hold down the shift key.
