Help with Booting From XP Home CD

G

Guest

A gentleman helped me set my Bios so it would boot from my CD instead of my HD. After I reset BIOS, when it Booted from CD, after pressing a key to Reformat, I received a message saying:

Line 1 of the INF File \$WIN_NT$.~BT\winnt.sif is invalid.

Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.

I don't know for sure, what Line 1 is.

I would appreciate any help you can provide me.

Thank You,
Charles

This behavior can occur because the BIOS cannot read certain
large text files during the installation of Windows XP.
To try and resolve this behavior, obtain an updated BIOS from your
computer or motherboard manufacturer's support website.
