Need Help Formating my Drive

G

Guest

I am trying to reformat my Hard Drive as it is corrupt. When I load the XP Home Edition, and reboot with the disk, it by passes and winds back upon my Desktop. I have tried this 4-times and I cannot get it to stop at the CD so I can Format my Hard Drive. I have never seen the screen, that should come up and give me an option to Format.

I would appreciate any advise, you can offer.

Thank You,
Charles

You need to set "boot priorities" in the BIOS,now its set to boot to hd,or floppy
first, set to boot to cd device with xp cd,once configured in BIOS,save changes
and exit. The text has to appear,"press any key to boot to cd".Once pressed,
at info page,select install xp,new copy,delete old partition,create one,then xp
will reformatt the hd and install auto.
