help with all programs display

Hi,
I had to reinstall xp home edition on my Dell computer.
After updating windows and getting all my programs back.
I have a problem that I can not remember how to fix.

I go to Start- All Programs--The next bar with all the programs are
only on 1 menu. I have to scroll up or down to see the program choices
that are available. There are over 50 programs only on one menu.

How do I get it to open another menus so that I can see programs
across the desk top on multiple menus?

With the Classic Start Menu, both of these need to be UNChecked.
XP Start Menu doesn't have Use Personalized Menus option.

XP Start Menu >>
Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button | Advanced tab |
Scroll down to and UNCheck:
Scroll Programs * |
Click OK | Click Apply | Click OK

Classic Start Menu >>
Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button |
Scroll down to and UNCheck both of these:
Scroll Programs * |
Use Personalized Menus **
Click OK | Click Apply | Click OK

[*Specifies whether to display the items on the Programs menu as one long
scrolling menu or as horizontal pages. Depending on your screen resolution,
if you have more than 29 or 38 programs installed, and you select to have
one long scrolling menu, you can access the programs you don’t see
by clicking the arrow at each end of the list of programs.]

[**Specifies whether to turn on Personalized Menus.
Personalized Menus keeps the Programs menu clean by hiding items you haven't
used recently, while still keeping other programs easily accessible. You
can gain access to hidden programs by clicking the down arrow at the bottom
of the Programs menu.]

1. Right-click on an empty area of your Taskbar and choose Properties.
2. Click Start Menu tab and then click Customize button.
3. Click Advanced tab.
4. From the "Start menu items" list uncheck "Scroll Programs" option.

I am big fans of your because you always quote your replies in complete
details but is it necessary? I was know that if you will reply then you will
describe the both methods from XP Start Menu and Classic as well. But
"wmckeby" had already mentioned "All Programs" that means he was using XP
Start Menu.

It is possible to see a response to a message without seeing the
original. This happens to me quite often. I keep newsgroup posts for one
week in Outlook Express, if the poster snips everything, I have no idea what
the hell they're even talking about.

Even in Google group searches the original post may be missing. If the
original is snipped from the first post that is available, one has no idea
what the question was.

I was know that if you will reply then you

Almost all usenet posts are archived. Some folks looking through old posts
trying to find an answer to their problem may be using the Classic Start
Menu. I gave a complete answer not a partial one.
