help please with start-programs view

Hi,
I had to reinstall xp home edition on my Dell computer.
After updating windows and getting all my programs back.
I have a problem that I can not remember how to fix.

I go to Start- All Programs--The next bar with all the programs are
only on 1 menu. I have to scroll up or down to see the program choices
that are available. There are over 50 programs only on one menu.

How do I get it to open another menus so that I can see programs
across the desk top on multiple menus?

Make subfolders in All Users --> Start Menu and/or Your Profile --> Start
Menu and move items into those folders to create a logical grouping...

(C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu and/or C:\Documents and
Settings\YourUsername\Start Menu)

Hi Zub:

Right-click on the Start button and select Properties. On the Start Menu
tab click Customize. On the Advanced tab, scroll down in the area called
'Start menu items' and remove the check mark from 'Scroll Programs',
then 'OK' your way out.

Now, when the All Programs list hits the bottom of your screen it will
continue on a column to the right.

With the Classic Start Menu, both of these need to be UNChecked.
XP Start Menu doesn't have Use Personalized Menus option.

XP Start Menu >>
Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button | Advanced tab |

Click OK | Click Apply | Click OK

Classic Start Menu >>

Click OK | Click Apply | Click OK

[*Specifies whether to display the items on the Programs menu as one long
scrolling menu or as horizontal pages. Depending on your screen resolution,
if you have more than 29 or 38 programs installed, and you select to have
one long scrolling menu, you can access the programs you don’t see
by clicking the arrow at each end of the list of programs.]

[**Specifies whether to turn on Personalized Menus.
Personalized Menus keeps the Programs menu clean by hiding items you haven't
used recently, while still keeping other programs easily accessible. You
can gain access to hidden programs by clicking the down arrow at the bottom
of the Programs menu.]
