Help!!!!Windows XP User Profiles Problem

F

featherdown

I usually don’t have multiple profiles on my computer, but when
someone is going to have access to my computer when I’m not there, I
have always password protected my admin account and turned on the
Guest account.

Well, we have someone staying with us, and I would like to start
having different logons.

I don’t know what I did to my computer, but I created new users with
limited access and when you try to sign in with anyone with limited
access, including the guest account, it won’t sign in, just says it
can’t find the profile. It signs in on my Owner account no problem, if
I have another user as admin, it will say it can’t find the profile
and log them in as default. I finally realized that when I add a new
user, it is not creating a profile for them.

Anyone know how to fix this? Or even how to manually create a user
profile? I really don’t want to do a reformat.

Thanks!

run from a boot to CD and Recovery Console (press 'r' for Repair), the
command:
(cd drive letter here):/i386/expand.exe (cd drive letter
here):/i386/winlogon.ex_ %windir%/system32/winlogon.exe
