HELP!! Windows won't start

OK,I was installing some software yesterday and my
computer froze so I shut it down by pushing the button on
the front of the tower. Now windows won't start and
everytime I try it just goes back to the screen where u
can choose to start it in safe mode(with various
options), the last mode that worked or start windows
regularly but when I choose any of the options I get a
message saying windows did not start properly and it goes
back to the same screen. Any suggestions?

Repair install:
Boot from the XP cd, and when prompted hit enter to begin setup. Press F8 to
accept the license agreement. It will then search and find your existing XP
install. Select it, and choose R for repair.
