Help Win2k & Novell Network.

Steve N.

We are looking to upgrade from Win 98 Workstations to
Win2k workstations(We don't have big budget) and we are
having a problem bypassing PC security and connecting to
the Novell Tree. The issue is a result of the password
changes that we require. As Win 98, if PC was on network
then the Novell client would be required, but not the
local account. Where can I look.

Thank you in advance...
Steve

You need the NetWare client (if you're using NetWare 4x), as far as I know.
And there's always a Windows logon. You can create local accounts that match
the name/pw of the NW credentials, and the NW client will give you the
option to log into Windows at the same time as NW. Password changes can be
more complicated in this setup & I'm not sure what the answer is (I haven't
used NetWare for a while) but I foggily remember that the NW client will ask
you if you also want to change the Windows password as well....corrections
welcome.
