Hi,

We are using W2K PCs on a Netware 5.1 network. When users
boot their workstations, they must log to Novell as well
as Windows 2000 pro. Regularly, users must change their
Novell passwords and they then synchronized these with
their Windows passwords. On the workstations that are the
most up-to-date (Novell client 4.9, W2K SP4 and all the
patches available), the box which must be selected for the
two passwords is grayed out. W2K password has to be
manually changed using the Change Password button when you
issue a CTRL-ALT-DEL command.

Does someone know how to correct this? Is there a registry
key to setup or modify? Thanks

I found the solution: the problem comes from the new NMAS
security feature implemented with Novell client 4.9. This
component must not be installed for the password
synchronization to work as before. Luckily this feature
can be uninstalled using Windows Add/Remove Programs
function.
