help w/printing !!

my HP 5550 printer has always worked fine with my windows xp...but had to
reinstall it.. because of other reasons.
I can print a test page just fine, i opened up a document in adobe and it
printed out just fine..
but when i opened up one of my files from Microsoft word 2003, i try to
print and it just comes out as "blank' pages ?!?!?
any help would be greatly appreciated..

Does this happen to existing documents or new ones? To all documents or ones
created from a particular template?
