HELP!! W.MovieMaker crashes when adding titles, transitions & effe

Hi friends!
Haven't worked with WMM for quite a while. Now I cut a couple of short
videos, but whenever I tried to add transitions, titles or any effects, WMM
crashed and went off.
Maybe something wrong with my "collection" of transitions, effects and titles?
Is there any way to restore the file from online???
What else might be the problem?
Everything works fine, cutting, inserting clips, adding music and pictures,
but as soon as I drag a transition on the time bar and release the mouse
button, the program crashes and must be started again.
Of course all last changes made after the auto store function are gone as
well!

I'm clueless!! Can anybody help or give advice??? Thanx a lot in advance!!
