Help using HTML with mailto:

Help!!!

I'm trying to send an email from a web page mailto: link. However, when I
use the link the HTML I've written appears as plain ASCII text in the
message body, and the message window is started in Rich Text format instead
of HTML, even though I've set my Outlook to use HTML format by default.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
 
AFAIK, mailto: always generates a plain text message.
