Help! Unable to Switch Users

When we log on and then attempt to switch to another user, the computer
freezes. This just happened spontaneously. One time we were able to
switch from one account to another. But now the computer freezes with
the attempt of another user to log on. Any suggestions to help us?

What changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't?
Any new software installed? Is the computer completely malware-free?
What are the computer's hardware specs - is it old?

After you've done #1 and 2 above, if you are still having problems then
post back to this thread with the results. Please include more details
about your computer, the operating system version and Service Pack
level, and if the machine is standalone or networked, Workgroup or
