HELP!!! unable to access some webpage

Dear All,
my IE experienced a problem that unable to access some
website, more exactly those anti-program related one like
www.f-secure.com or www.grisoft.com.

apart from that, all other websites are working fine at
the moment (at least i didnt spot any other special yet).

would that be virus/worm related? appreciate if any of you
can give me a hand on this.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

If you did not create the file, then you may have parasites, or you are
using a web accelerator program that would be causing this problem.

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.

I have had the same problem while trying to access a few
web pages, my IE crashes after 2 seconds on the site with
no errors. I have tried both Adware and Spybot plus now
the suggestion below renaming the "Host" file
to "OLDHOST. None of this has helped.

Have you been able to solve this problem yet???

Anymore idea to repair this prolbem would be appreciated.

Tools/internet options/advanced/Microsoft VM
....only tick the JIT compiler box and leave the Java boxes un checked
