Help trojan horse or virus?

WIndows constantly pop up asking me if I want poker or some special offer?
Does anyone know how to get rid of this. Avg freeware was useless? ANy
helpmost welcome.

Do like the previous poster suggested. Download "Malwarebytes" and run
it. It has saved my ass several times now.

"ComboFix" is another program. It's advantage is that it runs from an
..exe file and doesn't need to be installed.

"Hijackthis" is another; problem is; you may need help identifying the
threats that it will list in it's log.

Good advice but the logs of both "ComboFix" and "Hijackthis" should be
examined by an expert.
