Help the internet isn't working?

In my local area connection status window it says that I
am sending and not receiving packets. I can't figure it
out. I have the internet security disabled, but for some
reason it is not letting me receive. Anyone else have or
know how to deal with this problem?
 
Hey, I'm having the exact same problem!!! I have no idea
what to do either. Did you find a solution?
There is also a Windows 95 running in the house and it is
working just fine. The Windows XP will not receive
packets, but it does send.
