I put a computer in safe mode with the help of the
msconfig in order to fix a virus. Problem is... I forgot
to check the local admin password.

I can not log in to the computer!!

I have tried lots... Please help

(e-mail address removed)

Thanks,
Patrick

Try pressing the F8 key, between the BIOS Post screen and XP actually
starting. This may allow you to override the SAFEBOOT switch. If not, and
your hard drive is NOT NTFS formatted, you can use a DOS boot disk to start
the computer and edit BOOT.INI (in the root directory of your boot drive) to
remove the /SAFEBOOT switch.
