help remove McCaffee to install Norton

Want to remove McCaffe anti virus from windows millenium
2000 so I can install Norton Anti Virus.When we tried to
remove it it said network resource was unnavailable and to
enter an alternative path to folder. Do not know what to
try from here on out//// Thanks for any help ROGER
