help reinstalling xp

I dont know if my message got posted so im gonna post it
again.....
I need to reinstall xp because my modem got messed up and
i have tried everything to fix it nothing works so i
wanna reinstall xp i have all my software backed up on a
cdr 1 problem....... i dont have windows updates backed
up is there anyways i can back them up so when i
reinstall xp i dont got to download them.
