HELP! REFORMATING XP GIVES ME A CONSTANT BLUE SCREEN.

Hey everyone,

My computer is freezing and doesn't allow me to stay at the desktop
more then a minute, so i really can't do anything through safemode or
normal login. I tried going into bios and placing my CD-ROM first in
the boot sequence but after some windows installation loading, i get
the blue screen error. the error is

STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF8982524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) *blue
screen

This occurs after all standard things load before the actual
installation. How can I just wipe out my hard drive and install a fresh
windows? I've tried normal mode, safemode, and CD-ROM boot 1st. What
can be done? THANKS!

PLEASE I NEED THIS TO BE FIXED.

Does your system have a controller you need to use the "F6 Method" to
install drivers for before Windows can see/use it properly?
Are you doing this?
What level (SP) is the CD you are using?

Thank you so much for the feedback. I had a Vundo Trojan and removed it
through PC cillan and a VUNDOKILLER. Thanks, fortunately i didnt have
to reformat my computer.
