I had an automatic update display and clicked to update but whilst I was out
of the room my computer restarted by itself. Now I can't start up my computer
at all system starts to boot up gets to the Microsoft XP screen and then
starts rebooting.
After it had rebooted about 10 times message from Microsoft appeared and
gave various options I chose "if your computer restarted during download
click start last good etc" but still no joy.
Windows XP was pre loaded so I have no disc and only thing I can get into is
the start up screens, which as a computer novice, might as well be written in
Chinese!!
Please can anybody help, my son can't do his homework!!

I would recommend for you to try to start the computer in SAFE MODE.
Sometimes, if you are having a problem during startup, going into safe mode,
then restarting the computer again may fix the unapparant problems.

To go into safe mode, keep pressing the F8 key right when your computer
starts up. If you see the Windows XP Graphic (or whatever OS you have), you
went to far... try to restart the computer and try again. When you see a
Windows Startup menu (all text, no graphics), choose safe mode and hit enter.

Let me know if this helps.. G'LUCK!
