I'm printing to a HP Color Laserjet 4600. When I try to
print (out of any program) I get the following error:
PCL XL Error
Subsystem: Kernel
Error: IllegalOperatorSequence
Operator: EndFontHeader
Position: 1

I've called HP after several attempts they determined
that it was related to my operating system. I'm running
Windows XP Proffessional. Does anyone know how to fix
this? I've tried updating the drivers and it didn't work.

Thanks.

Hi Nicole,
I understand that you are unable to print to a HP printer
and you are getting the following Error " PCL XL ERROR"
Please try the following solution and let me know

CAUSE: This error is usually caused by an issue with communication or an
incompatibility between the Enhanced XL language and the software
application that
is associated with the file being printed.

Resolution: Install a HP driver that uses PCL5

OR

Try changing the connection from a parallel cable to a USB connection, and
check the same. There might be some sort of hardware problem also.
