This is gonna be long so please bear with me im desperate!
I have AOL 7,I got a free trial for AOL8 which i
tried,was ok...seemed a wee bit slow,so thought i'd
uninstall it,and I reinstalled AOL7,my problem is(i will
try not to confuse here)when my pc comes on i can click
on anything in my start menu,and anything on my desktop
and they work perfectly...but when i connect to the net
and try and use my shortcuts on my desktop i get the
eggtimers symbol then it disappears and nothing opens,and
then it makes AOL freeze or run completely slow(ie;takes
5 minutes to do anything or makes things mix together)If
I just connect straight to the net and use AOL to access
sites,then I have no problem,which is confusing the hell
outta me....but its not just that i cant use my
shortcuts,it happens if i click 'my computer' etc,I have
rang AOL three times and they took me through various
stuff,but to no avail,I rang my computer manufactuer who
says it doesnt sound like the pc is in trouble,as things
work ok when not connected to the net!! Im really would
appreciate any help anyone can give,im literally pulling
my hair out, thankyou in advance,and sorry for the big
post
