Help please :-)

I've just had a PowerPoint presentation emailed to me. All downloaded ok.
When I double click to open it I get a flash of the PowerPoint front page
and then it doesn't open.
Going to 'Programmes' and double clicking on PowerPoint has the same effect.
How can I fix this please?
Thanks
Martin

First off, restart Windows. That may be all it takes to solve the problem.
Start, Shut Down, Restart

If that doesn't do it, locate and delete or rename your PCB file. This
explains how:

Find and Delete PowerPoint's PCB file

Thanks for your advice Steve and David.
I'd already gone through the re-booting. There seems to be a conflict with
AOL so I rebooted and opened PowerPoint and the document I received before
opening AOL.
All good. Done the work I needed to do, but now I've opened AOL, emailed the
document, closed PowerPoint and tried re-opening it and I'm back with the
same problem. Not opening!
Searching for *.PCB found nothing by the way.
I have a similar problem with Word documents received as email. Download,
double click to open and the Word page appears briefly as with PowerPoint,
then nothing.
Thanks again.
