HELP please! Word freezing up constantly!

Hi,

I have deinstalled Word (Office XP) and reinstalled,
however, this does not solve the problem. Everytime I go
into Word and start typing, it will freeze up and
then "This program is not responding" will appear
everytime. Also, I do not have "Normal.dot" installed on
my C drive for some reason. Could this be part of the
problem?

Please, if anyone could help, it would be greatly
appreciated.

Hi Sarah, you would be better off posting this to the Word NG and advising them
of your problem.

Hi,

Try this......Start-Search for files and folders-In the
open box type in-normal.dot-Delet all the files that come
up with that name.....shut your system down and restart
it.....go to the word doc and tell me do you see the
difference?
