Help, please: to move data from OExpress 6 to O2000 ?

Help, please...

On a pretty good Win XP PC, I need to upgrade from Outlook Express 6 to
Outlook 2000. I installed Outlook and it imported all the
folders/messages/identities from OE6. Outlook 2000 starts up, and all seems
fine, and I'm looking at the new message that it created... "Welcome to
Outlook 2000". If I try to view any other message, it locks up. I see the
perpetual hourglass. It's dead.

So, I installed Outlook 2000 on another XP PC, created a mail account, and
it seems to work fine. I can read and send messages. Cool.

How can I export all of the folders/messages from OE6 to a file and import
them into O2000 (on the other PC) ?

I've been thru the http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/ website (lots of great
info for OE) but it only tells me how to export data for later import into
OE, not O2000.

Import the messages from Outlook Express on the old computer to Outlook
Express on the new computer. Then, export the messages from OE on the new
computer into Outlook 2000 on the new computer.

Mark, what was your final solution to this problem? I am in a similar
situation and value your experience.

To move your mail from Outlook Express to Outlook, make sure Outlook is
properly installed and then, in Outlook Express, click File>Export>Messages.
To move your Contacts, in Outlook click File>Import and Export>Import
Internet Mail and Addresses, choose Outlook Express, check the "Import
Address Book" box, making sure both of the others are unchecked, and click
Next. Select your desired duplicates handling and click Finished.
