When I start my Win XP pc I get the Emachine splash screen and then it
goes to a black screen with the following error message:

NTLDR is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

When I do this I get the CMOS Setup Utility. When I exit and tell the
utility not to save any changes I am returned to the black screen with
the NTLDR message.

Can someone explain what is happeneing and suggest a remedy?

Thank you,

Mary
