Having trouble rebooting the PC

Guest

For the past two days, I've been trying to get my PC out of BIOS mode and
onto Windows XP Professional, but every time I do, I get a message that says
'NTLDR is missing
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart.' I haven't had the chance to obtain the
Bcupdate2 utility before this unexpected event happend.

My other option was to reboot WinXP, but I've lost the discs recently.

Please help me.

Hi Salior,
The NTLDR is missing or corrupted try to bring a friend XP CD the same as
your Operating system version and start your computer with the CD and copy
the NTLDR and see if the boot.ini is okay or you can rebuild it.
Read this article on how:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318728
If you don't have a CD or a friend close to you then download the BootDisk
from here and unzipt it to make a boodisk on a floppy or CD/DVD:
http://www.nasstec.co.uk/tools.html
or here http://www.bootdisk.com
HTH.
Let us know.
Regards,
nass

If oyu have a floppy in the drive...remove it.

If that's not the case...you will need to find your XP cd

boot from it and from the repair console issue the command: fixboot
