NTLDR is missing

When i turn on one of my computers it says NTLDR is
missing Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart. And in Help and
Support Center it says something about Bcupdate2 utility.
Can someone please help me?

This error usually means the NTLDR file can't be located on the system
drive (usually drive c. This could be due to a couple of reasons:
1) It was moved
2) A bad directory entry (run chkdsk)
3) Bad sector (run chkdsk)
4) The boot.ini file is messed up and points to the wrong partition to
boot from.

Something is wrong with the HD. Earlier in the boot process does it find
and report the HD normally?

Let's start with the obvious: do you happen to have a diskette in the floppy

Hello Same and greetings from ENgland,

If none of the suggestions in the other posts have worked, take your XP
install CD and use it boot the computer up and get you to a DOS window.

In Dos, copy the files you need to get restarted from the i386 directory of
the CD.

So at the C: prompt type: COPY D:\i386\NTLDR C:\ then hit ENTER
at the next C: prompt type COPY D:\i386\NTDETECT.COM C:\ and hit ENTER again.

where D: is the drive letter of your Windows CD.

Type EXIT and you have just copied the files to the root of your C: drive.

This should sure your problem.
