HELP on making my home PC a server.

i would like to set up my homew PC as a server so i can
test my website which has front page componats in it but
it wont let me view the site cause of server extenions.

2. When you say "it wont let me view the site" what is "it" and what does
"it" do that prevents you from viewing "the site"?
3. What do you mean by "cause of server extensions"?
