Publishing Web Problems

I've been using front page for quite some time with no issues. Suddenly when
I tried to update my website, it wont accept the user-name/password
combination. I've called my hosting provider and they've verified the
information and yet it won't connect to their server.

Any suggestions on how to circumnavigate this issue? I am at wit's end and
the hosting site claims it's front page causing the problem.

Ask your host to run a server health check on the extensions.

I too have been using FP for some time and with no issues! I have gone thru
my provider and have had no luck with them resetting all my extensions. FP
continues to tell their firewall that I am attempting too many invalid log
ins and shuts me out when I only log in once and it appears on my end to
start the update until I get an error message.

Have you installed the Serv Pack 3 update yet? I just did that but am
reluctant to try to update my site again, fearing the lock out once more. My
provider is starting to suggest that I use a different publisher...

I am using Microsoft Office XP Professional with Front Page - How do I find
out if there's a service pack for this edition?

I will contact my Hosting Provider again and try to see if they'll do
something. Much as I know most big companies enjoy out-sourcing their
customer service people, it's very frustrating when they don't speak a common
langauge that you do - at least clearly enough to understand them.

I completely understand! I have been around and around this loop and it
seems to be a neverending game of pass the buck! I am completely frustrated.
Frustrated enough to ditch FrontPage alltogether, except for the thought of
rebuilding a site it took me 3 years to perfect! I am no web-geek and this
stuff is hard for me! Even the simplest stuff can be mind-blowing!

Anywho, I digress! I downloaded the Service Pack 3 update for my XP op
system. I also did all the updates I could do for my Office 2003 software.
That is the only way you can effectively update FP. They don't have a site
for it in and of itself.

I am still chicken to try updating my web again until I get a response from
my other post... Are you getting a Port 80 error?
