OK, first, a little crash-course :
Incoming e-mails are handled by POP protocol
Out-going e-mails are handled by SMTP protocol
Now, your Subject column asks about OUT-going mail which is SMTP, while your
error message is about POP. The 2 do not match.
I would assume you were unable to send or receive.
Tell us who is your e-mail provider, or give the the LAST part of your
e-mail address following the symbol @.
example, mine is (e-mail address removed)

outgoing stmp
