HELP NETWORKING

ok so heres the situation i have a new hp laptop running vista, and I cannot
connect to the internet PC-----------Netgear-------X-------internet
cannot communicate with microsoft.com(207.46.19.190) <<from diagnose and
repair i have don the reset network adapter and i cannot get anywhere, I have
tried a hardwire connection and the wireless nothing seems to work it says i
am connected for local access only Please help

You could probably provide some more useful details here. What model Netgear?
Are you "connecting" by Ethernet or WiFi? Can you connect to the Netgear? Is
this the only computer connecting to the Netgear?

Have you tried to diagnose the problem any?

We could maybe diagnose the problem, using "ipconfig /all" log.
