Tried to post this before but it didn't seem to make it to the list so here
goes again.

Hello

Can someone help me here. I run XP. Do a lot of surfing on e-bay. for
about the last 2 weeks my e-bay pages open and look virtually complete
except the search window in the top right corner of an item I'm viewing page
doesn't load and at the bottom left of each page it says "error on page".
Every e-bay page loads with errors on page and the super size feature
picture feature loads with the pictures distorted.
I'm guessing its some security feature running interference, or something in
a service Pak update.
Thanks

Marc

Just a possibility...

I'd suspect a trojan horse or spyware of some sort is intercepting the HTML
code fo web-pages you are vieiwing. In my brothers PC, images were being
distorted until I restored his PC from scratch.

On my sons PC, I've spotted HTML code modifications which I knew didn't
belong because the pages being displayed were from my own website. Somehow a
trojan horse or spy-ware was altering the HTML code of retrieved pages before
the web-browser was able to display the page. In my sons case, links were
being inserted into the web-page text.

Done improperly, spy-ware generated HTML modifications could cause the
'error on page' messages you are receiving.

If you have the latest SP2 updates and one good anti-virus program with the
latest updates, DO NOT use any other software such as popup ad blockers,
anti-spam blockers, etc. Microsofts' SP2 updates along with an anti-virus
program should be all that you need. I have a router firewall along with
Microsofts' protection and an anti-virus software program. My system seems
to stay clean.
