help needed re wlm and restart

I have a emachine t1840 pc, xpsp2, the problem that I am having is occuring
whilst in Windows Live Messenger and either iming or chatting. The problem
is that for example today, whilst in conversation was checking hotmail
account and the computer made a brief noise like a short circuit in the
service and then the screen goes BLACK, like a dos window and doesn't stay on
long enough to read what it says. Then the computer restarts and the message
that is received on startup is Q322205. I have searched the web and most
places mention a blue screen. Any help or ideas to resolve this frustrating
problem would be appreciated. WLM 8.1 is the current service I
have....although this problem occured whilst in Hotmail today, it occurs also
when viewing some web pages...the voice also gets static when searching web
pages whilst in conversation.

Could someone tell me please how one can get an answer to a problem like the
one that I have listed below. It seems that whilst this is problem for me,
it must also be a problem for others who have error messages etc.....I think
this must be so bad that NO ONE wants to try and solve my problem. Do you
think that I should just go and buy another computer? I would prefer not to
do that as I am sure that the answer is simple, just do a clean boot of the
computer? I am not sure so that is why I posted in the first place and again
would really appreciate any advice that would point me in the right direction
as to fixing this problem myself.
