Help - My mouse disapears off the right hand edge

Can anyone help with my mouse or display settings. My display just fills the
screen as expected but recently I appear to be able to move the mouse pointer
well past the right hand edge of the screen? I've set up the "mouse pointer
location option" under mouse properties so I know it is not just sitting on
the edge of the screen as this option indicates the mouses position with a
decreasing circle when I press the control key and I cannot see this either
when I move the mouse off the screen to the right. The other 3 edges behave
normally.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

It might be the video card driver setup. Do you have a secondary display
such as tv or second monitor. Duel view on nvidia drivers will cause the
effect you mention. The mouse will go off the right hand side onto the other
screen if you are watching it. If you have it setup as duelview then its
normal for the mouse to go off the right side. Other views might be the same
I haven't checked.

Thanks Glen - your diagnosis was spot on.
