Help! My messages have disappeared!

Hi there,

I work at an office where someone's messages from Outlook have all
disappeared. Her Inbox, Outbox, Personal folders, Sent...everything! What
happened was, she was going about her merry business today and clicked on a
message, her computer froze, but she was able to close the program eventually
and then log out, reboot, and try again. When she came back on, ALL of her
messages were gone.

Now, we don't have a Network Admin. here. I'm kind of the default one
(which is a scary thought). Is there any way to retrieve these messages? Is
there some software which can enable me to do this, or is there something
that i'm just missing here?

Any help would be hugely appreciated. This woman is actually the boss and
all those emails were quite important. Her system is XP pro, if it's at all
relevant.

Thanks very much for your time.

Jason

Have you looked for a .pst file? It is a hidden/system file so enable that
in your windows search.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Jason asked:

Are you running daily back ups on the network? Restoring the personal files
might be the quickest.
