Help! Missing messages from my inbox...

I am using Outlook 2003 with Windows XP. I am missing old messages from my
inbox. Generally after I read a message, I leave it in my inbox to sort at a
later date. Where did they go and how can I get them back?
 
Check for an archive folder. Also check your autoarchive settings. This may
be where your inbox messages are going.
 
Also, make sure the view is set to message, and not something else...
